The taliban's insurgency is gaining  momentum with roughly a third of all 421  districts  and district centers in afghanistan  under its control  the terrorists have made massive  overnight strides through northern  afghanistan leading to several hundred  of afghan forces now fleeing across the  border into tajikistan  as taliban fighters advanced towards the  border more than 300 afghan military  personnel across from afghanistan's  province there have been cases of afghan  army police and intelligence troops  surrendering their military outposts  and fleeing to the provincial capital of  faizabad  officials blame the recent gains on the  poor morale of troops who are mostly  outnumbered and without free supplies  now afghan forces are moving towards the  cleanup operations  to recover areas that have been taken  over  family  fighting with afghan government forces  and after the takeover the secretary of  kandahar's governor  was killed when a bomb attacked his car  and it blew up the district police  headquarters in governor's  office building were already captured  here  the province of kandahar is the  birthplace of taliban leader of the  taliban  zadah hails from this region and the  confiscation  has sent schools the families fleeing  their homes the extremist groups aim to  impose a harsh version of the islamic  sharia law  which it calls genuine islamic system  here  this says u.s president joe biden has  told ashraf ghani that the afghans  must decide their own future.
