Pre-orders for the Nintendo Switch OLED begin today at 3 p.m. ET

If you want to get your hands on the new OLED Nintendo Switch before it goes on sale on October 8th, this is your opportunity. Pre-orders will begin at 3 p.m. ET today in the United States, and the console is currently available at Best Buy, B&H, GameStop, and other shops.

The new Switch has a 7-inch OLED display, 64GB of internal storage, a revamped kickstand, "improved audio," and a new dock with a wired LAN port, among other features. The $350 console will be available in two color schemes at launch: iconic neon red and blue, and black and white.

What you will not discover on this variant of the Switch is another chipset. In front of the OLED model's declaration toward the beginning of the month, there were reports Nintendo intended to incorporate a refreshed SoC with NVIDIA's DLSS tech to empower the control center to yield games at 4K. That didn't occur, yet saying this doesn't imply that a Switch "Professional" is off the table.

Regardless of whether the OLED Switch addresses a botched chance, we expect interest for the control center will handily overwhelm supply. In May, Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa told financial backers the organization was all the while battling with creation issues, and the worldwide semiconductor deficiency isn't required to end at any point in the near future.
